Day 21

This morning, the weather was still beautiful and warm. We started the day with a nice breakfast at the hotel.

Before it got too hot, we went to the cathedral. The tour was guided, and we learned a lot. Of course, I didn't understand everything, but Marcel was there to repeat the key points for me.

After the tour, we had lunch at Pret, which is always good value for money. We were lucky enough to find a table on the terrace, in the shade of a lovely tree.

We strolled around the market and the Shambles district for a bit, then went back to the hotel to freshen up and relax.

In the late afternoon, we went out again to buy earplugs for the plane. I was a little worried because my ears was still slightly blocked because de congestion, which might hurt and cause barotrauma (I search the exact word on the net).

We came back to do the bording passes. We will be seared one dehind the other, il a middle place.  Oh well!  Maybe we could change those places tomorrow at the airport and if it is impossible, we will just travel that way.  That is all.

For our last meal, we went to a highly regarded York restaurant: Delrios, a charming cellar restaurant located near the historic Micklegate Square. Delrios offers home-style Italian cuisine and excellent wines, with a strong Sardinian influence, in a lively atmosphere. It was just a stone's throw from our place. We thoroughly enjoyed this farewell dinner.

Tomorrow we are leaving.  So that is the end of the trip.  The next post will be in french for the bilan.
