Day 9 London

This morning, the sun is shinning over London again.  Who said it is always raining in London ?

At 10 am we were all ready to go to the Victoria and Albert Museum together. It's not far from our house, so we walked there. It wasn't my first time, but it was a new experience for Joëlle and Nancy. They were truly impressed. It's truly magnificent! The building itself is a true work of art.

We had planned a visit: first the Medieval Gallery, then we had lunch in the majestic dining room, and then we finished with the museum shop. The museum shop should be a gallery in itself. We all bought souvenirs.

After our visit to the museum, we went to Kensington Gardens where Nancy and Joëlle were able to admire the Albert Memorial. Victoria was truly in love with the Albert! It's magnificent!

We walked through the park to Kensington Palace, which was under renovation. As a result, we didn't get to see much. On the way, we noticed that it was allergy season. We sneezed so much. Our eyes were itchy and our throats were scratchy. On our way, we saw many beautiful trees and flower bushes.

Then, it was time to split.  Nancy and Joelle crossed the park to go to Harrods.  Ginette and me went on the opposite side to get back to the Beatles store, on Baker Street.  We were missing some souvenirs for our little ones.

We came back home and Ginette did her boarding pass.  That is were she discovered that her flight wasn't in the afternoon, but in the morning.  Oh Oh !  She had order a car for a flight in the afternoon...

No choice, she had to call the company to made the change of time.  It wasn't a problem at all.  So she will leave our house, tomorrow at 6 am.

Tonight we went for supper at The Jam.  This italian place were the tables are juxtaposed.  We had a good moment there.  A nice evening to say goodbye to Ginette.

Ginette started this vacation with mixed feelings and full of emotional sensations.  She said it did her good after all the upheaval.
