Today we splited. Nancy and Joelle went to see Harry Potter at Warner Bros., and Ginette and I went for another Beatles day.
What should have been an easy tube ride turned out to be a real headache. We were already on the tube when we learned that the Piccadilly line was disrupted and had to get off. We had to take the Circle line to connect to the Jubilee line.
We finally arrived at St. John's Wood station! The first thing to do was check out Paul's house on Cavendish Avenue. Someone was there, because we saw the lights on. Paul was seen at his office in Soho Square today, so he might have been at home when we were there...
We continued on to Abbey Road. There weren't many people around, but those who were kept crossing and recrossing the famous zebra crossings, much to the annoyance of motorists.
Of course, we went on the Abbey road store and we bought some souvenirs.
Then, it was time for lunch, so we walked in this very nice borough to go at the Clifton Nursery.
The Clifton Nursery is a very nice small gardener center, hiding in a road where you couldn't never expect to see a garden center. There is a café that serve breakfast and lunch in a beautiful area surrended by plants and flowers.
After lunch, we went to have a look to the Regent Canal and we decided to go to the Bealtes Store on baker Street. Ginette was hoping to find Yellow Submarine T-shirt for Llewyn and Ophelia.
As we got out the Baker Station, we met a famous detective. We didn't kew which way to go on Baker Street. A gentleman that most have seen our hesitation, came to us to offered help. We find the store and we got the t-shirts... + some other souvenirs of course.
Joelle and Nancy passed all the day on a Harry Potter trip. They returned delighted with their visit to Warner Bros. Studios. It was a must-see in London for Nancy, a huge Harry Potter fan. She shared her passion with Joelle, and they both thoroughly enjoyed the day.
