Our last day… Time flies! We broke up again today. I stayed home and my friends went to the Winston Churchill Museum. In the morning, they first went to see Buckingham Palace. On their way to the War Room, they stopped at Westminster Cathedral.

We met at 3 p.m. at the Audrey Green Café at the National Portrait Gallery. Unfortunately, Carole and Dominique had to rush to meet me, because they would have stayed longer at the museum.

Nicole strolled through St-James Park before returning home to cook the last supper. She loves cooking, so it wasn't a chore to do that on our last night.

For a change we didn't have the afternoon tea but opted for the cream tea. The difference is that for afternoon tea there are sandwiches, cakes and scones with the tea. For cream tea we have clotted cream scones, jam and tea. This is more of an afternoon snack. As the museum has been renovated, the restaurant has also been renovated and there is now an exhibition in the café.

After our tea we went to visit the portrait gallery museum. I was there 2 days ago, but this time I saw other rooms.

We came back for the last aperitif. We are all ready for our departure tomorrow. Nicole did not have an aperitif with us, because she preferred to cook. She will be the first to leave at 4:40 in the evening. We will leave our little pink house at 9:30 a.m.

It was our last supper together.  Look at this appetizing table !

I am a little bit a shame of my steps today: 9626 steps.  In my defense, I have to admit that I have several blisters on my feet.
