What was supposed to be an easy day, turn out to be an exhausting day in the end.
The day start with a complimentary breakfast cooked by Phi : eggs and bacon, just like the british peoples.
Phi and Horia had a light schedule for the day. They had a rendez-vous to met Horia's cousin in Camden. They never met before so it was like a blank date. In the morning, they went at the Tate. We can see by the photos that Camden was funky at is always use to be.
Our trio took the bus to St-Paul. We didn't visit the cathedral, but we entered in the lobby just to peek a look.
We crossed the Millenium bridge and went to visit a few rooms of the Tate Modern. We found a funny coloring book of :La chenille qui fait des trous de Eric Carl. I also bought 2 other books.
On our way to the Borough Market there was two young artists that were giving for free some cards painting. really for free. Of course, everyone still left a small amount of money to encourage them.
When we arrived at the market, it was time to lunch. But there was such a crowd! Usually, outside we do not wear the mask but there, it was necessary. We didn't really choosed what we want to eat. We choose where we can sit. So it was at a Japanese kiosque and it was very good.
After lunch, we walked around the market a bit and we went to the famous Tower bridge to cross it on foot. The crowd seem to follow us. It was impressive.
Our intention was to return by boat. We waited more than 40 minutes and we couldn't see when we could get a place on one of the boat-buses which were plentiful on the Thames. The crowd was there too! There was crowd everywhere on this beautiful saturday. At the end, we just give up and came back exhausted with the bus. As Horia would said: We miss the boat again!
After a short break at the flat, we went for a Steak-frites at Coté Brasserie. We walk back to our place. It was a a nice 30 minutes walk. The weather tonight is fresh... very pleasant.
21350 steps today. It is enough for me... good night !
