Renée leave this morning, so everybody were awake early to say goodbye.
Phi and Horia went to Tower of London. Phi was there for 5 hours. She love to learn about history, so it was a place designed for her. Horia stayed 2 hours and went to meet a friend who live in London.
At night they went to a concert : Experience Abba. Look at the link to know more about it: https://abbavoyage.com/theconcert/ Horia was quite impressed by the performance.
We decided to do some shopping today. Carole needed to go to Harrods for a gift and I wanted to go to Jo Loves for Raymonde. So, our first move was to jump on the bus and go to Harrods. It was a pretty good idea to do shopping on monday morning. Harrods was almost empty.
As it was too early for lunch, we went in Hyde Park near the west end of the Serpentine. Hyde Park is the largest Royal Park in central London. The Serpentine is the world's first artificial revreational lake. In a part of the Serpentine, there is the Lido: a city beach very appreciated in warm weather.
After a stroll, we went for the lunch at English Rose Cafe, near Victoria station. We had a delicious lunch that we ended with a warm scone.
We walked through Belgravia to Elizabeth Street where Jo Love is. What a beautiful region! I choosed a perfume for Raymonde and I just hope she will likes it. While walking, I saw a restaurant that I have often heard of: La Poule Au Pot. Looking at the menu, I think it's too high end. We also saw another corgi.
We came back in the mid afternoon for a break. I took the opportunity to do some facetime with Raymonde and with Marcel.
Before supper tonight we went in Battersea park. We saw two parrots having an argument, near the old english garden in the park.
For our supper we went in a area we didn't visit before on Fulham Road. It was a very casual meal, in a very pleasant place, call "Sophie". The hamburgers were just perfect..
We came back in time to see the sunset over Battersea Bridge.
It was a day of 22,331 steps and I wonder why I have blisters on my toes... Silly me!
