Carole and I had a great day. The weather was on our side. It was perfect for sightseeing.
First, we went to National Portrait Gallery. I can't miss the BP Portrait Award when I am in London. It is always a very interesting exhibition. We had a coffee in the Gallery before going to admire some painting in the National Gallery. There was a very interesting exhibitions of works made by young children. That give me idea for my own class.

It was then time for lunch. We went at Gordon Wine bar where we share a plate of cheese, paté and salad. It was so yummy!!! We sat outside, in the shade away from the crowds and the noise.

We took a lovely walk in the Victoria Embankment park and visit the court yard of Somerset where there was young children playing in the fountain. We followed our route in Temple, to have a look at the beautiful church before coming back at home at the end of the afternoon. Carole had to prepare her suitcase for her depart tomorrow morning.

For her last supper Carole had a treat at The Riverside. It is not a ''grand'' restaurant but a lively pub on the riverside. The view is fantastic. We watched the sunset while eating a plate of scallops and salad. A nice way to say ''au revoir'' to London.
