jour 9

What a beautiful day!  First the weather was pretty much more pleasant when we woke up in the morning.  A maximum of 28C is so nice after the 39C of yesterday.  So after a breakfast cooked by Marcel, we when for a walk near Piccadilly.  We visited Fortnum and Mason where Carole was very impress by the luxury and elegance.  We followed our route to Piccadilly Circus.  We came back on the opposite sidewalk to see The Art of academy and the Burlington Arcade.  In this arcade we can see many expensive boutiques.  There are rules to respect: no running, no shouting.
We then visited 3 Saville Row.  You know why this place is famous?   You surely know that The Beatles give their last concert on the roof of this building in January 1969.
Funny fact, Richard Porter (the Beatles brain of London) was there with a group.  We saw him twice today.  We came back by New Bond Street where Cartier, Prada, Gucci and name it was there.
We then came back for lunch and we waited for Jose and Denis.

In the middle of the afternoon, we get back on the road to do what I call: The Royal tour.  So we pass by Big Ben, but the view was obstructed because the restoration.  Anyway, we follow our route to St-James Park and we arrived on The Mall.  On one side we looked at the Buckingham Palace and on the other side there was Trafalgar Square.  We walked to Trafalgar Square and we took a break at The Crypt of St-Martin in the Field.
And then we crossed the Jubilee bridge and came back on the south of the river Thames.

Tonight, we had supper at Cote Brasserie in Sloane Square.
What a day!!
