Jour 2

Usually I dont sleep well on the first night away from home, but it was a good night rest this time.  I was so tired!

Anyway, waiting for my guests, I went walking back to the tube station to buy Oyster cards for them.  This time, I find my way easily.  I also stop again at the grocery store for few other things: candies and soft drink for Julie.  I took a walk around the corner of Thorparch and I notice there is many houses that look like social houses.  It is very different from any place I used to visit in London.  But it is quiet and peaceful.

My guests arrived around noon.  After a quick lunch, they were ready for touring the famous landmarks of London.  We took the bus and we were lucky enough to have good places in front on second floor.  We walk on Westminster bridge to Big Ben, we strolled through St-James park to the Buckingham Palace.  We waved a hand at Elisabeth and walk on The Mall to Trafalgar Square.  We took a breake in the crypt of St-Martin-in-the-Fields with scone and clotted cream and went on Jubilee bridge to walk our way back on the south path.  That was enough for a first day.  We bought pizza on our way back and enjoyed our meal relaxing on our terrace. The owner, Jeff joins us for the apero and we had a we pleasant chat with him.

For this first day, the comment I hearded from my guests is that it is amazing how we feel the calm in St-James park in the middle of fuzzy London.  Now it is nine o'clock and Irene, José and Julie are in bed as I wrote the blog.  I will follow them soon.
